The Finals: Spurs outlast Bledsoe's career-high to down Bucks, 136-139 (1-0).

The Bucks almost pulled off the Game 1 upset.
Eric Bledsoe had a career night, toppling his past 41-PT high mark with forty-six points in Game 1 of the NBA Finals, tormenting Avery Bradley (22 points). The best of both conferences truly came to play tonight, scoring a combined 275 points. However, even with last season's showdown, these two teams spent the 1st Quarter feeling each other out, the buzz of a new series--one last time--taking effect.

Milwaukee led at halftime, 68-67, the Greek Freek sporting 19 points and Bradley with 3 early fouls. Patty Mills hit a 3PTer to take the lead to end the third quarter, after Giannis was double-teamed into a turnover, 99-102. The Bucks would gradually retake the lead, as the Spurs were only able to make a 5-6 point spread. Brandon Ingram (24 points, 6/9 3PT) would be the difference-maker, hitting a three, then Patty Mills did the same for the 101-108 advantage. Antetokounmpo's free-throw shooting struggles came to light, as Giannis missed half of them tonight, as his team only lost by three points.

Despite all this, San Antonio clung to the smallest of leads throughout. J.R. Smith hit a three, but T.J. Warren fouled out next and Antetokounmpo rocked the rim for a 3-PT lead. Smith was fouled on a layup for the and-one completion, the comeback made possible by Dejounte Murray's steal and lay-in, 133-136. Eric Bledsoe hit a 3PTer to tie the game yet again, then the Bucks committed an awful foul on Mills, who untied the stalemate with three-made free throws. Bledsoe got a good look, but missed at the buzzer.

The Spurs made seventeen 3PTers tonight, led by Dejounte Murray's 25 points, 12 assists and 3 steals. J.R. Smith scored 14 points, instrumental to the late rally at home. Mills combined with Skal Labissiere for 20 points. Joakim Noah & Kyle O'Quinn combined for 6 blocks, 10 rebounds and 12 points down low.

In the rough loss, Milwaukee only had 9 turnovers to San Antonio's thirteen, leading the glass 34-28. The Greek Freek had 35 points, 8 rebounds & 7 assists behind Bledsoe's career effort. Khris Middleton notched 18 points and Brook Lopez hauled in 10 rebounds.
