Warren lifts Spurs past Timberwolves in high-score OT thriller, 151-156.

On the heels of a narrow defeat in Florida, the Spurs protected home court by the skin of their teeth, keeping their loss at home total at two, as the Timberwolves did all they could to make it three. Karl Anthony-Towns had 32 points 15 rebounds, 6 assists, 2 steals and 4 blocks, with Derrick Rose collecting 27 points on the night with 8 assists. Andrew Wiggins had only 10 points on the game. Jeff Teague had 29 points on the scoring end, but 5 turnovers. Dario Saric dropped 16 for the Wolves.

For the Spurs, Brandon Ingram had a chance to win it at the buzzer, as the ball would not go in, so T.J. Warren (21 points, 3 steals, 2 blocks, +19) energized the OverTime starting five, breaking the Spurs out to an early advantage. Shots stopped falling for San Antonio as the extra period trickled down to zero, but Minnesota couldn't muster a necessary comeback in time despite shooting above 70% for the duration of the exciting contest.

Brandon Ingram finished with 36 points, 6 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Patty Mills scored 24 points in another strong showing, with 5/10 from three-point distance. Avery Bradley had 23 points with 3 steals, harassing Jeff Teague. The Spurs won the 4th Quarter 44-40, shooting 58% on the game and 40% from deep range. Joakim Noah contributed 14 points with 6 rebounds and 2 blocks, as Dragan Bender backed him up with 13 points and 2 blocks. Dejounte Murray had a solid 10 points with 8 assists.

San Antonio capitalized at the charity stripe, connecting on 26 of 30 free throws, and they needed every one of them as the T'Wolves made 16 of 18 overall, also dominating the glass 37-20. The Spurs won the important column of turnovers, coughing the ball up only 8 times to Minnesota's 15, nabbing 16 steals.
